Yakiniku Like

A Japanese BBQ restaurant for Yakiniku Like at Westfield Stratford City, one of London’s busiest retail and leisure destinations. The brief was to translate a global brand into a clear, recognisable space that works at the pace of a shopping centre.

We used a restrained material palette, integrated lighting and consistent brand graphics. The plan was set out around seating capacity, customer flow and staff routes, so tables turn quickly at peak times without the room feeling crowded. Design, construction and fit-out were coordinated with the centre’s landlord and local authority requirements from the start.
